Finding Light in February: A Paradigm Shift in Perspective

Published 3 months ago • 2 min read

Hey Everyone,

It's the middle/end of February, and it feels both like a slow-moving month and a fast-moving one. Here's why: I did something different with my vision board this year, which also led me to take on a new mantra for the year - and possibly beyond. My personal new year starts in the month of March. I have been trying this out for almost three years now. What's different this time is that I realize there are so many situations and circumstances that I will have to pass through in order to manifest the creative simplicity that I have asked for this year.

So, to get through the mundane and the things that aren't as exciting or don't seem as connected to the puzzle (but really, they are), I tell myself "I'm simply passing through." This applies to anything - doing the home chores, work tasks, lending a helping hand, feelings of anxiety, and moments of fleeting depressive thoughts. It all goes into the "just passing through" category of my mind. In other words, it's not the end point or the goal - it's only temporary.

While this might sound too simple (because I thought that at first), here's what I have experienced while practicing it:

  • The task at hand felt less heavy - even when I didn't want to do it, I moved through it with less heaviness.
  • I'm able to begin creating new margin in time, energy, and create better boundaries because the truth is, as the head of my household, natural limitations have a profound effect on my ability to manage day-to-day life.
  • I'm figuring out solutions to problems quicker, even if it's just a steppingstone in the right direction.
  • I'm more open to catching the glimmers of hope through other opportunities I would have normally pushed away, since now I have the space to create the margin I need to see that they exist.
  • I'm approaching each day with a little more openness and a lighter sense of determination that isn't solely centered around hurried anxiety.

These are just a few of the things that I have noticed so far, and for me, this feels like a paradigm shift, something that I will highlight more on the A Creative Life by Nherie YouTube Channel as well, so when you have a moment, stop by and subscribe there.

What I love about this shift is that it isn't ignoring your feelings or emotions tied to unfavorable situations that you are overcoming, but it moves the energy forward towards what's next. It might feel slow, but what I am learning about manifestation is that you don't want to move fast just for the sake of getting somewhere - you want it to be going somewhere that's truly aligned for you. This reminds me that I have a video that talks a little about this entitled "Masculine & Feminine Energy: My Personal Thoughts & Experience" that I think gives a snippet example of this.

Let me know what you think and what resonates with you and as always, thank you for lending me your ears for reading this month! I'll circle back to let you know how my new year is shaping up in March!

Warmly,

Nherie

Hey Everyone, I hope the start of 2024 is treating you well! If it isn't, here's your reminder not to give up. I mentioned a month or so back that I was applying for a business grant. Well, I didn't get that particular grant this cycle, but I will try again. There are a few smaller grants that I am going for this year as well. I will keep going! Vision & Mood Board As I ease into this new year, I've been thinking a lot about simplifying life, organizing spaces, and embracing the calm that...
