April Newsletter: Keeping It Simple

Published 25 days ago • 1 min read

Happy Mid-April :)

Following my March Newsletter, I sat down to craft my next blog post called 'What Letting Go Looks Like,' and I think it does the work of explaining what the last few weeks have been like. It seems to be right on cue with my year-long commitment to purging my stuff and distractions too—more on this next month.

I wanted to share another blog post with you, titled '10 Random Ways I Improved My Personal Wellness.' It's not about offering one-size-fits-all solutions; rather, it's about sharing insights from my own journey. These suggestions may not involve major changes, but they represent a departure from the typical rhetoric of today's wellness culture, which often promotes misinformation and trendy dietary restrictions. Instead, they simply work for me. So, by no means is this a step-by-step process—just an inside look at how I process things like this for my best good. I believe all changes towards your wellness, even if you are still defining it, are worth exploring. It's part of how I'm simplifying life.

Creatively, I've been working on new crafts in Create Season Studio. In the spirit of organizing and purging, while I've been decluttering my paper and working towards a personal scanning project to digitize most of my files, I created these adorable scrapbook cardstock file folders. They are a one-of-a-kind, very unique collection of patterns. Here's a current sample that's currently posted and available. Keep an eye on the online store for more of these creations. I'll even add that they make cute gifts or can serve as a unique gift carrier.

Lastly, this month, I want to share this video that I added to YouTube about a week ago. It's a detailed account of a dream I recently had that I feel changed something in my waking life. It also fits well with this year's theme of simplifying life, decluttering, and organizing, and for me, it serves as confirmation of what has turned out to be a reflective season.

Thank you for taking the time to read this month's newsletter! As I reflect on being one month into my personal new year, it's been a period of quiet and simplicity. Adapting to this calm and focused approach amidst the bustling world around us can feel unsettling at times. However, I remind myself that my nature is inherently calm and peaceful. I'm simply no longer allowing myself to be swayed by the noise the world offers. And my hope is that receiving this newsletter is a part of adds to your calm and peacefulness. It's a journey of embracing tranquility and staying grounded amidst the chaos.
